COVID GUIDELINES FROM HHH SCHOOL NURSE
Posted 8/24/21

Hello Humphrey Parents,

Due to the recent Confirmed Positive Covid case at Hubert Humphrey, we thought it would be a good time to share some information regarding how we respond to a positive case in the school. Hubert Humphrey follows the same guidelines that
are followed district-wide and are set by the New Mexico Public Education Department.

Below is a link to the NM PED Covid Toolkit. It outlines the steps to take to identify close contacts and the process for quarantining and isolation. A decision tree was created for families, students, and staff to better understand the steps that should be taken if an individual develops symptoms. This can be found on page 10 of the Toolkit. Keep in mind that the NM PED is constantly updating this information and it is a living document. It is best to refer to it regularly to stay up-to-date.

In the event that we have another confirmed positive case, please keep in mind that Mrs. Miller and the School Nurse will identify close contacts and notify their parent/guardian PRIOR to sending out the school-wide letter. Therefore, if you receive the notification letter and have not been contacted by the Nurse Farley or Mrs. Miller, your child is not considered to be a close contact and can continue going to school as normal.

Thank you again for your continued commitment to keeping our Hawks safe and healthy.
