July and August Office Hours:

  • July 24th through July 30th: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Tuesday, July 29th: Closed at 12:00 PM
  • Thursday, July 31st: Closed
  • August 1st: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM  
  • August 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 11th: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Thursday, August 7th: Closed
  • Tuesday, August 12th: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The office will be open from 
  • Beginning Wedneday, August 13th: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Daily M-F 

New Student Enrollment:

  • Daily during office hours above. Please bring Birth Certificate, Shot Records and two Proofs of Residence. (PNM, gas, copy of lease or mortgage, cable bill).

​​Registration and Teacher Assignment Day for all Enrolled Students

Registration and Teacher Assignment Day is Thursday, July 31st for all students. If your child is a returning student from last year and you filled out all the paperwork in the Spring, your child has been enrolled. If you came into the office prior to this date and completed all the necessary paperwork and brought the correct information, your child is enrolled.  

Schedule for Teacher Assignment Day

All Families: Please bring two proofs of residence (PNM, Gas, Mortgage, Lease, Comcast, Mortgage Bill, Drivers License) to the Teacher Assignment Day

  • Last Name Begins A-L            9:00 am-11:00 am 
  • Last Name Begins M-Z          1:00 pm -3:00 pm

Meet Your Teacher Day

  • Tuesday, August 12th from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

First Day of School

  • Grades 1-5: Wednesday, August 13th from 8:50 AM to 1:00 PM (Lunch will be served.)
  • Kindergarten: Friday, August 15th from 8:50 AM to 3:40 PM

Bell Schedule When School Starts:

  • The first bell rings at 8:50 AM and the dismissal bell rings at 3:40 PM. On Wednesday, the dismissal bell rings at 1:00 PM.

We would love to have you volunteer at Hubert Humphrey! Anyone wishing to do so must have a background check. Volunteer cards are good for two years, so please make sure yours is up to date.

You can now fill out the volunteering information online! Just go to http://www.aps.edu/volunteer-with-aps and you will find all the information needed!  Thanks to all that make HHH such a great school!

Pick-Up Procedures

  • Parent Pick-Up is now in the grassy area in front of the Multi-purpose room.
  • This is to alleviate congestion at the flag pole after school
  • This is a PICK UP area only
  • Please, no playing, no visiting in this area
  • Bus Line Congestion: please help us keep our Bus Line Safe!
  • Please do not use the sidewalk in front of the bus lines
  • Use the sidewalk on Academy Hills if you are meeting your child at the MPR after school
  • Bike riders, skate boarders, scooters, moms (or dads) with strollers, etc. , move to the MPR grass area for pick up at Dismissal Time
  • No Playing on the Playground until after 4:00 PM.
  • Drop Off/Pick-Up Etiquette
  • The yellow zone at the cafeteria is NOT a pick-up area
  • Your child will wait by one of three gates
  • Gate 1: Behind Portable 12
  • Gate 2: Behind Portable 8
  • Gate 3: Close to Kindergarten wing
  • Once you know what gate your child will be picked up from, please wait for your child to be walked to your car
  • The 3rd gate by the kinder building is for Kindergarten students and Day Care van students only.

Lost Jackets, Hats, Gloves...

Please check the cafeteria and/or the office for any lost items. They are piling up and we have many jackets, sweaters and sweatshirts in Lost & Found in both the Cafeteria and Front Office. Everything left in Lost & Found will be donated to the APS clothing bank. Also, please remember to label your items if possible. 

PE Jump Ropes

Don't forget to have your child bring a jump rope for PE. This is for all classes, Grades 1-5.
